We welcome everyone interested in the Esk valleys.
The Esk Valley Trust depends on volunteers for landscape maintenance and path clearing at Hewan Wood. Work parties are organised two times each year and anyone with willing hands (or a chain saw, brush cutter or strimmer!) is invited to help in what is always a fine social occasion.
We also invite volunteers to contribute to many other activities such as new initiatives, liaison with other organisations, participation in organised walks, evening meetings and committee membership. These are all good social events!
To get involved please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donate or Join Us
The Trust is an entirely voluntary organisation. Administrative costs are met by membership subscriptions as well as charitable trusts and individuals who have been generous in offering financial support.
Further donations are always most welcome, especially when linked with ‘Gift Aid’ which increases the value to the Trust. Capital projects are funded, as appropriate, by a variety of national and local agencies, charitable trusts and individuals.
New members and those wishing to make donations are encouraged to contact us. We currently offer individual memberships or family memberships. A membership form is available for download:
Donations and membership subscriptions can also be paid by PayPal:
We gratefully acknowledge the valuable technical advice and support received from a number of public agencies including Midlothian Council, SNH, Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust, and the Lothians and Fife Green Network Partnership well as the considerable voluntary effort from our membership who undertake a variety of projects in furtherance of our aims.
